Manchester City star Riyad Mahrez has reportedly been the victim of a burglary on his penthouse in a raid which saw three of his luxury watches stolen.
Mr Mahrez was thought to have been carefully tracked by the thieves before they snuck into his pad and took the three watches, which are worth over £300,000 in total.
The most valuable was a Richard Millie timepiece, which costs £230,000. The other two watches were allegedly a £40,000 Rolex Daytona and a £35,000 Rolex Day Date.
As well as the watches, it is said the burglars also took more than £50,000 in cash, Cartier bracelets and rare football shirts worth around £150,000, which takes the estimated total loss for Mahrez to about £500,000.
Just this month Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli was held at knifepoint during a robbery at his home in north London, while his teammate Jan Vertonghen’s family were also robbed while he was in Leipzig on Champions League duty in March.
