Two people charged with robbery in Rochester as man stabbed in head and hands


Two people have been charged with robbery after a man was stabbed in his head and hands following a break-in. Kent Police was called on Friday February 17 to a report that a man had been hurt after two people broke into a property in Shorts Way, Rochester at around 11.45pm.

A man was taken to a local hospital with stab wound injuries to his head and hands. He remains in a stable condition in hospital.


Early in the morning on February 21, officers from Kent Police’s County Line and Gangs Team arrested a man and two women in connection with the incident. Marvin Joseph, 26, of St Loyes Street, Bedford, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and robbery.

Sharne Rossiter, 33, of Berber Road, Rochester, has been charged with robbery. They both appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on February 22 where Mr Joseph was remanded and Ms Rossiter was bailed.

They are both due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on March 22. A 38-year-old woman of no fixed address who was also arrested has been bailed until May 19 pending further enquiries.
