$100K in Personal Property Stolen During Studio City Home Burglary

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a late-night burglary at a Studio City residence after thieves allegedly stole approximately $100,000 worth of personal property before fleeing the scene.

According to LAPD, officers responded to the 4000 block of Beck Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Friday after receiving reports of a burglary in progress. By the time officers arrived, the suspects had already left the area.

Investigators say home security cameras captured three men breaking into the residence. Police have not released details about how the suspects gained access to the property, though video from the scene obtained by KTLA appeared to show a large shattered glass panel at the rear of the home. It remains unclear whether the broken glass was part of a window or a sliding door.

Preliminary findings indicate the burglars escaped with approximately $100,000 in personal property. Authorities have not disclosed what specific items were stolen.

Fortunately, no one was inside the home during the burglary, and no injuries were reported.

As of Saturday morning, LAPD had not released descriptions of the suspects or any vehicle believed to have been involved in the crime. Detectives continue to review surveillance footage and gather evidence as the investigation remains active.
