A quiet Sunday night turned into a frightening ordeal for an Arcadia couple after two armed suspects forced their way into their home, tied them up, and stole their vehicle, authorities reported.

The incident occurred just before 10:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Carriage House Lane. According to the Arcadia Police Department, two men—one armed with a handgun—broke into the residence while the couple was inside. The suspects reportedly restrained the victims before ransacking the home and filling backpacks and bags with stolen items.

During the invasion, one of the residents sustained facial injuries after being struck by one of the intruders.

After collecting valuables, the suspects located the homeowners’ late-model Tesla in the garage and fled the scene in the vehicle. The Tesla was later found abandoned in the 3800 block of East California Boulevard in Pasadena.

Authorities described both suspects as heavy-set males, approximately 5-foot-6, dressed in dark clothing, masks, and gloves. It is currently unclear whether the incident was captured on any surveillance footage.

Detectives are actively investigating the case and are seeking assistance from the public. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Arcadia Police Department at 626-574-5151. Source: CBS News
