Burglary Crew Ransacks Bel-Air Home in Bold Early-Evening Heist

A quiet evening in Bel-Air was shattered last week when a family returned home to find their residence had been ransacked by a coordinated burglary crew. The incident, which occurred just before 7 p.m. on December 5, has left the homeowners shaken and highlights once again how quickly—and quietly—these highly organized groups can strike.

According to the family, four masked intruders entered the property by emerging from hedges along the rear of the home. Security footage shows one suspect scaling a side gate before allowing the rest of the group inside. Within minutes, the crew spread through the home, rifling through rooms and tossing valuables into a laundry hamper taken from one of the bedrooms.

In just seven minutes, the burglars managed to steal a safe along with additional valuables before fleeing the property. A fifth suspect, parked nearby in what appears to be a Dodge Challenger, whisked them away.

The homeowners, who asked not to be identified, arrived roughly 15 minutes after the suspects had left. It wasn’t until noticing a shattered door in the master bedroom that they realized something was terribly wrong. Unsure if the intruders were still inside, they immediately contacted authorities and waited in their vehicle with their children, as advised by police.

Officers arrived about 25 minutes later and conducted a sweep of the home and surrounding area, though the suspects were long gone.

Security cameras, both inside and outside the residence, captured much of the group’s movements. Despite their masks and layered clothing, the homeowners noted distinct voices and mannerisms—one suspect even appeared to be addressed by name during the burglary.

The family described the experience as deeply unsettling.

“You feel violated,” one homeowner said. “This is a home where you’re supposed to feel safe… We don’t ever want our children to feel like it’s not safe to come home.”

With the holiday season in full swing—a time when burglaries often spike—the family hopes their story serves as a reminder for others to stay vigilant. LAPD detectives are actively investigating, though no arrests have yet been made.
