A residential burglary in Thousand Oaks has led to the arrests of four suspects and the discovery of an alleged burglary network connected to multiple cities across Southern California.

According to the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, the investigation began on October 13, 2026, after deputies responded to a residential burglary in the 3000 block of Big Sky Drive in Thousand Oaks. Investigators determined that several items had been stolen from the home, including jewelry valued at more than $10,000.

Detectives from the Thousand Oaks Commercial and Residential Burglary Unit, along with the East County Special Enforcement Unit, launched an investigation to identify those responsible.

Investigation Reveals Burglaries Across Multiple Cities

Over the following weeks, detectives used a combination of investigative techniques, including Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) technology and covert operations, to track down potential suspects.

As the investigation developed, authorities identified what they believe was a larger burglary operation involving multiple individuals working together to target homes across Southern California.

Investigators linked two suspects, identified as Dilan Rodriguez and Kevin Rodriguez, to additional residential burglaries in Chino and Rowland Heights.

The findings suggested that the Thousand Oaks break-in was part of a broader pattern of residential burglaries extending beyond Ventura County.

Four Suspects Arrested in Los Angeles

On October 27, 2026, Ventura County Sheriff's Office detectives apprehended Dilan Rodriguez, Kevin Rodriguez, and two additional juvenile suspects in Los Angeles.

During the arrests, investigators recovered approximately $7,000 in stolen cash, multiple stolen luxury purses, dozens of pieces of jewelry, and two stolen handguns. Authorities believe the recovered property is connected to burglaries in Rowland Heights.

Dilan Rodriguez and Kevin Rodriguez were booked into Ventura County Jail on charges of burglary and criminal conspiracy. Both remain in custody, with bail set at $250,000 each.

The two juvenile suspects were taken into custody by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in connection with the alleged burglaries in Rowland Heights.

Authorities Encourage Residents to Report Suspicious Activity

Following the arrests, the Thousand Oaks Police Department reminded residents to remain aware of their surroundings and report suspicious individuals or unfamiliar vehicles in their neighborhoods.

Residents who observe suspicious activity are encouraged to contact 911 or the department's non-emergency line at (805) 654-9511.

The investigation highlights how residential burglary crews can operate across multiple jurisdictions, making cooperation between law enforcement agencies and the use of investigative technology important in identifying suspects and connecting crimes across different communities.

As authorities continue addressing residential property crime throughout Southern California, residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity promptly.
