Man Arrested for Trespassing at Los Angeles Home Reportedly Linked to Actress Nia Long

A man accompanied by a dog was arrested for trespassing at a Hollywood Hills residence reportedly owned by actress Nia Long, according to the Los Angeles Police Department and local news reports.

The incident occurred Saturday night, Aug. 1, in the 2000 block of Outpost Drive. According to the LAPD, officers initially responded to a call reporting a possible burglary at approximately 9:40 p.m.

Preliminary information indicated that the property is owned by Long, who is known for her roles in films and television shows including Boyz n the Hood, Love Jones and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Long also portrayed Katherine Jackson in the 2026 biopic Michael.

Reports indicate that Long does not reside at the Hollywood Hills property, although her eldest son, Massai Zhivago Dorsey II, is believed to live there.

Suspect Taken Into Custody

Video captured at the scene showed a man and his dog near the front entrance of the residence as officers responded. The home sits at the top of a staircase, and footage showed officers directing the man to come down from the property.

The suspect eventually complied with officers and was taken into custody after lying face down on the driveway. Officers were also seen handling the dog on a leash while the investigation continued.

The LAPD confirmed that the man was arrested for trespassing. His identity had not been released at the time of the report, and information regarding the status of his dog was not immediately available.
