A late-December night turned violent in Studio City when four residents were assaulted during a home invasion carried out by masked intruders.
According to CBS LA and the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident occurred on December 30, 2021, in the 10800 block of Alta View Drive. Investigators say four suspects, all wearing masks, forced their way into the residence using physical force. Once inside, they assaulted the occupants before fleeing the scene.
LAPD Detective Todd Holmberg confirmed that authorities are treating the incident as a home invasion rather than a follow-home robbery. “We have no evidence to indicate that this is a follow-home, but it is a home invasion and it is disturbing," he stated.
Notably, police reported that no weapons were used during the assault. One victim was transported to a hospital in unknown condition, while three others were treated on-site by emergency personnel.
At this time, it remains unclear whether any personal property was taken from the home. The suspects are still at large as the investigation continues.
This incident adds to growing concerns surrounding residential safety in Los Angeles neighborhoods, particularly those involving coordinated group entries and physical assaults. As authorities work to identify the suspects, residents throughout the region are reminded to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement. Source: CBS News
