Patrol car at scene of Hollywood home invasion

Residents of a Hollywood home were forced to flee in the middle of the night after a break-in sparked a swift police response, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The incident occurred around 11:50 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, when officers were called to the scene on Courtney Avenue following a report of a burglary in progress. LAPD quickly established a perimeter around the home and deployed a helicopter to assist in the search for the intruder.

Video footage from the scene shows officers entering the home with weapons drawn, issuing commands as they searched for suspects. While it remains unclear whether anyone was found inside, police have confirmed they are actively searching for a suspect described as a Latino man in his 20s.

At this time, authorities have not disclosed whether multiple individuals were involved or what, if anything, was stolen from the residence. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the break-in is urged to contact LAPD.
