Police activity flooded an upscale Hollywood Hills neighborhood late Friday night after a burglary report prompted a large law enforcement response, according to video obtained by KTLA.
Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of North Rising Glen Road at approximately 10:30 p.m. Initial reports suggested possible suspects were on the roof of the home, information later shared by news stringer service RMG News.
Upon arrival, officers discovered broken glass at the property and immediately began a search of the area. Multiple units surrounded the residence as investigators worked the scene, temporarily shutting down nearby roads for roughly two hours.
Authorities later confirmed that evidence of a burglary was found inside the home; however, no suspects were located during the response. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed Saturday morning that the incident was classified as a “hot prowl” burglary—an active or recently occurred break-in while occupants may have been present.
It remains unclear what, if anything, was taken from the residence. No arrests have been announced, and further details were not immediately available.
The incident adds to a growing number of high-end residential burglaries reported across affluent Los Angeles neighborhoods in recent months, underscoring ongoing concerns about property crime in the region.
