Quentin Tarantino’s Hollywood Hills Home Targeted by Burglars

Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has once again been linked to a home burglary incident in Los Angeles, years after he reportedly confronted intruders inside his residence during a late-night break-in.

The latest incident occurred Wednesday afternoon at a three-story Hollywood Hills property above Mulholland Drive. According to police, a man was seen breaking into the second floor of the residence before fleeing the property.

A gardener reportedly spotted the suspect, who was described as a man around 35 years old wearing long black sleeves and black pants. By the time officers arrived, the alleged burglar had already left the scene. Police searched the residence but were unable to locate him.

The property, located on the 7400 block of Woodrow Wilson Drive, has been reported as a residence associated with Tarantino. However, authorities have not confirmed that the home belongs to the filmmaker, and it remains unclear whether anyone was inside when the attempted break-in occurred or whether anything was taken.

A Previous Burglary Put Tarantino Face-to-Face With Intruders

The latest incident is particularly notable because Tarantino experienced another frightening encounter with burglars at a Los Angeles home in December 2018.

According to a report at the time, Tarantino was home around midnight when he heard two men inside the residence. Investigators believed the suspects had entered through a rear window.

Rather than remaining unaware of the intrusion, Tarantino reportedly searched the house and came face-to-face with the burglars. The confrontation apparently caused the men to flee, although they reportedly managed to take jewelry and other property before leaving.

Los Angeles police subsequently sought surveillance footage from the surrounding neighborhood in an effort to identify the suspects.

The 2018 incident highlighted how quickly a property crime can turn into a potentially dangerous confrontation when a homeowner discovers intruders while they are still inside the residence.

The Latest Investigation

In the 2026 incident, the circumstances were different. The reported break-in occurred during daylight hours, and there is no indication from the available reports that the suspect encountered the homeowner or other occupants.

Police were called after the gardener reported seeing the man entering the property. Officers arrived after the suspect had already escaped.

At this point, it is also unclear whether the incident was an attempted burglary or whether the suspect managed to take property before leaving. Investigators are continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding the break-in.

For a property in the Hollywood Hills, where large homes can have multiple floors, entrances and secluded areas, determining exactly how an intruder entered and what happened inside can be an important part of the investigation.
