In a tragic event that has left the Woodland Hills community shaken, a 47-year-old man was killed during a violent home invasion early Saturday morning, April 26, 2025.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded to a call just before 1 a.m. on the 22200 block of De La Osa Street, directly across from Woodland Hills Elementary School. Upon arrival, they found the victim, later identified as Aleksandre Modebadze, suffering from a severe head injury. Despite the efforts of paramedics, Modebadze was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident was initially treated as a suspicious death. However, as homicide detectives continued their investigation, chilling details emerged: three suspects had allegedly entered Modebadze's home, held him captive, and assaulted him, ultimately causing his death. After the attack, the suspects reportedly fled the scene with stolen property.

Thanks to swift collaboration between LAPD and the FBI, all three suspects were apprehended within hours. Authorities arrested 38-year-old Paata Kochyashvili near Sepulveda and Burbank Boulevards, while 46-year-old Zaza Otarashvili and 52-year-old Besiki Khutsishvili were taken into custody together in Glendale on Burchett Street. Each has been charged with murder and is being held on $2 million bail.

At this time, further details about the incident remain limited as the investigation continues.
