Burglars Smash Glass Door in Break-In at Tracee Ellis Ross’ Los Angeles Home

In yet another high-profile burglary targeting celebrities in Los Angeles, burglars broke into the home of actor and producer Tracee Ellis Ross early Sunday morning, according to the LAPD.

The break-in occurred around 12:30 a.m. when intruders shattered a rear glass door and gained access to the property. Ross, best known for her starring roles in Black-ish and Girlfriends, was out of town at the time. Staff members arriving at the residence discovered the crime and alerted authorities.

Police reported that three suspects were involved in the burglary. They stole more than $100,000 worth of jewelry and handbags before fleeing the scene. Security camera footage was recovered, but as of Tuesday afternoon, no arrests had been made.

Tracee Ellis Ross, 52, is the daughter of Motown legend Diana Ross and Robert Ellis Silberstein. Over her career, she has received multiple accolades, including three NAACP Image Awards and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy.

This burglary is the latest in a troubling pattern of crimes against celebrity homes across Los Angeles. Just last month, Lionel Richie’s Beverly Hills residence was targeted in an early morning break-in. In June, actor Brad Pitt’s Los Feliz home was ransacked while he was away on a promotional tour. Other recent victims include Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Jennifer Aniston, and several professional athletes, including members of the Los Angeles Dodgers and LAFC.

The ongoing series of burglaries highlights both the persistence and boldness of organized groups targeting high-profile homes in Southern California. For now, the LAPD continues its investigation into the Tracee Ellis Ross case, with security footage serving as a key piece of evidence in identifying the suspects.
