Residents in a quiet Winnetka neighborhood were shaken after burglars stole an estimated $90,000 in jewelry and cash during a home break-in late Saturday night, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The burglary occurred around 9 p.m. on the 7600 block of Quakertown Avenue. Police say the homeowners were not inside the residence at the time of the incident but were alerted to suspicious activity through their Ring security camera system.

Authorities report that two suspects entered the home through a rear window. Once inside, the burglars located a safe containing jewelry and cash and removed it from the property. The suspects fled the scene before officers arrived.

By the time police responded to the alert, the suspects were already gone. No arrests have been made, and investigators have not released descriptions of the individuals involved. It remains unclear how long the suspects were inside the home or whether the residence was specifically targeted.

The incident highlights ongoing concerns among residents in the San Fernando Valley, where burglaries have continued to impact residential neighborhoods. Police are asking anyone with information related to the break-in to contact the Los Angeles Police Department.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details were not immediately available.
