A quiet Hollywood Hills neighborhood became the center of a major police response Monday evening after a break-in at a sprawling luxury mansion prompted a search for suspects believed to be armed.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were dispatched just before 7:30 p.m. to a residence on Rising Glen Road. The homeowners had reportedly returned to their property and encountered intruders on-site, immediately driving away and calling 911.
AIR7 aerial footage captured the aftermath of the incident, showing a shattered glass door at the rear of the hillside estate. Inside, an upstairs bedroom appeared ransacked, with officers moving through the home as they conducted a search.
Police were also seen checking the property’s garage and driveway, where a Lamborghini and a Rolls-Royce were parked — underscoring the high-value nature of the residence.
Authorities say the suspects appeared to be armed, though no confrontation occurred. The homeowners avoided direct contact by leaving the property as soon as they realized intruders were present.
It remains unclear whether anything was taken during the break-in. Investigators canvassed the surrounding area for surveillance footage that may help identify the burglary crew or a possible getaway vehicle.
No additional details about the suspects have been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
The incident is the latest in a string of high-profile residential burglaries targeting upscale properties across Los Angeles, where large estates, hillside privacy, and visible luxury assets can make homes attractive targets.
Police are urging residents to report suspicious activity and review their home security systems as the search for the suspects continues.
