A home invasion robbery in Brentwood, Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon resulted in a police pursuit and the arrest of two suspects, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
The incident highlights an ongoing trend of daytime residential burglaries where suspects use deception to gain access to private homes.
Suspect Posed as Delivery Driver in Brentwood Home Invasion
Police say the robbery occurred around 3:30 p.m. at a home located on Walther Way in Brentwood. The suspect allegedly approached the residence while posing as a delivery driver and asked the homeowner for water.
According to LAPD, this interaction was used to gain access to the home, at which point the suspect carried out a home invasion robbery. Authorities have not disclosed what items were taken or whether anyone inside the home was injured.
Police Chase Follows Home Invasion Robbery
Following the reported robbery, officers located a vehicle believed to be connected to the crime. A police pursuitfollowed through nearby Brentwood streets before the suspect vehicle crashed near Kenter Avenue and Bonhill Road.
After the crash, two suspects fled on foot, prompting officers to establish a perimeter in the surrounding area.
Two Suspects Taken Into Custody After Foot Chase
Both individuals were apprehended and taken into custody shortly after fleeing the vehicle. Police have not yet released the suspects’ identities or announced formal charges as the investigation remains ongoing.

Law enforcement officials continue to warn residents about criminals using impersonation tactics, such as pretending to be delivery drivers or service workers, to gain entry into homes—often during daylight hours when residents may feel more at ease.
