A quiet Sunday evening in Burbank was disrupted after a burglary in progress led to the arrest of three suspects—one of whom was bitten by a police K9 during the takedown.

According to the Burbank Police Department, officers were dispatched to a home on the 2700 block of Scott Road around 7:20 p.m. on April 27, 2026. The call came from a vigilant neighbor who reported seeing several men dressed in black entering the property’s backyard. A suspicious vehicle parked nearby was also believed to be connected to the incident.

Police arrived within minutes and immediately spotted two individuals fleeing the residence. Officers quickly established a perimeter across the surrounding neighborhood, locking down escape routes while additional resources were called in to assist.

A police helicopter and K9 unit joined the search, combing through nearby properties. The two fleeing suspects were ultimately located hiding in the backyard of a neighboring home on Jolley Drive. While one suspect complied with officers and was taken into custody without incident, the other allegedly refused commands—prompting a police dog to engage. The suspect was bitten during the arrest and subsequently taken into custody.

A third individual, believed to be acting as the getaway driver, was stopped and arrested shortly afterward.

Investigators later determined that the suspects had forced entry into the home through a rear window. Although the interior had been ransacked, homeowners reported that nothing appeared to have been stolen.

Authorities identified the suspects as 34-year-old Alan Rodriguez-Pulido, 20-year-old Wilmar Castelblanco-Robles, and 24-year-old Cristian Rios-Cuadros, all residents of Azusa. Each faces residential burglary charges pending review by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Police are continuing to investigate whether the trio may be connected to other recent burglaries in the region. The arrests come amid heightened concern across the San Fernando Valley, where a string of similar crimes has prompted increased security measures, including the installation of mobile surveillance cameras in nearby Studio City.

Anyone with additional information about the case is encouraged to contact the Burbank Police Department.
